"“You’re the luckiest person in the whole world to have already figured out what you love. And you’ll be, quite possibly, the stupidest person in the world—if you don’t hold on to it.” "

Rock and a Hard Place: A Jamieson Brothers Novel - Angie Stanton This is a very cute book. The characters in the story are not perfect, they have had a lot of life's ups and downs placed on them at a young age. I really liked how the author was able to portray Libby's grief, as well as her hope (although lost at times). Libby had more then a few hardships to overcome, but she was able to do so with poise and maturity. Peter was a cute kid, however thats all I ever saw him as... a kid. I really wish he had of appeared more mature. Although by the end of the book I was impressed with him, for the most part he seemed like a spoiled boy who always got what he want. Overall, this was a good book... although it took a while for me to actually get into the story. The only thing that I was not a fan of was the major insta-love betwene Peter and Libby... yes it was cute, but it was just way too fast, I wish the author could have made it seem a little more natural.
Runaway Groom - Sally Clements I really liked this book! I requested it from Netgalley because it sounded interesting and I am SO glad that I did.April is just such a fun character. I love the fact that everything she is trying to accomplish, she is doing it on her own without financial help. She is a strong women. However, I absolutly hated the blind faith she had in her sister. It honestly bugged me so much that at times I wish I coulda smacked her!Matthew, phew... what can I say about him? He was sweet, kind, ambitious, loyal, jeez! he was just basically the epitome of the perfect guy if you discounted the fact that he was a runaway groom. But there is always two sides to each story right? He deserved his chance to have his story heard and I was so happy when April finally got it!Together April and Matthew are super cute, what starts out as a fling... something that will enable each of them to obtian what they want... turns into just so much more. This is a really sweet book, its not insta-love, it is very well written and the author Sally Clements did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life!
Sink or Swim (Fight or Flight, #1.5) - Jamie Canosa As with most new adult books, this is another heart breaker. It jumps right into it... there is really no lead up point, it just happens. The Author Jamie Canosa does a fantastic job of portraying a small town (I'm from the big city so I could never imagine even living in a town where everyone knows everything... in a city you are lucky if you even know your neighbors name) She is also able to write with raw emotion, and regardless of whether you have ever gone through what Allie or even Dean has gone through (I really hope you haven't!) she makes you feelAlthough the author does a fantastic job at getting your attention and really making you fall in love with every character, not just Allie and Dean... I was a little disappointed that Allie really just gave up. I like a strong main character, and yes her situation is tragic and my heart totally broke for her over and over again... but i kept waiting for just something else. But regardless of this fact, this book is such an easy read because you really get caught up in the story.I have not had the pleasure of reading another other books in this series, I was a little apprehensive because of that when I began this book because it is the technically the second book in the series. But trust me, this book is totally OK to read as a standalone book... the only thing that I ran into is that I want to read the first book in the series now as well (such a terrible thing right?!)

These Things About Us - Laura Beege This book was pretty freaking good! Seriously though, what is with all of these books being set in the UK? I am totally not complaining… But let me tell you, I REALLY want to visit all of these places I read about and the UK is just so damn far and expensive!Anyways! You don’t want to read about my travel ambitions sooo let’s talk about These Things About Us!I absolutely loved Tony right away! I knew there was a bigger story to her past, but when I found out what it was and how her life use to be… Compared to what it was now, I was totally blown away, I expected something but not THAT!! She is seriously such a strong character to have gone through what sh did, and regardless of her past she is seriously selfless. When Tony meets Trace, he is such an ass to her and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to like him, boy was I wrong… He went from total douch to book boyfriend material! Trace is a perfect blend of all my book boyfriends, he is tough, but sweet, broken but healing, he is the ultimate bad boy that any bad boy lover such as myself can’t help but fall in love with. There are also a few side characters that totally surprised me which I totally loved, because really? Who wants to read a book that’s predictable? The author Laura Beege takes you on an adventure through London that is at times sad, but throughout it all makes it come alive with joy and happiness. The only thing that really upset me is that there was no HEA, and but the end of the book leaves so many possibilities and is totally open to any interpretation… So of course I gave Tony and Trace my own HEA in my head… But I am holding out hope for a true ending whether good or bad, their story is definitely not over!

Canes of Divergence - Breeana Puttroff I know I say this every time I read a book in the Dusk Gate Chronicles but I freaking LOVE this series! I love all the characters, I love the world that the author Breeana Puttroff has created, and I love watching the journey that everyone takes.I actually consider this a bit of a spin off from the original Dusk Gate Chronicles as it focus's on Zander then on Quinn or William. I was TOTALLY OK with this! It was obvious throughout the 4 books that proceed Cains of Divergence that Zander had a story to tell, and I am so glad that Breeana was able to finally tell it.Zander is so cute, I liked getting into his head a little and understanding what he thought about the whole Quinn fiasco... he obviously had deep feelings for her, and although I never liked him dating Quinn... he just always seemed to be a bit of a misfit and I always hoped that he would finally realize that something was going on and discover Quinn's new world. As I said, this book does not really focus on Quinn and William... however everyone is extremely involved. I Still think William may be the sweetest character I have ever read, and Thomas is still in his (understandable) funk from his ordeal in a previous book. Lydia is honestly such an awesome friend and sister.I really want to say more... but I can't without totally giving everything away. I can however tell you that this book does NOT disappoint. It is just as well written as the previous books, and the story is able to draw you in and hold you captive until you are on the last page and in shock over what just happened... trust me its HUGE!If you are looking for a good YA Fantasy this is definitely a book I would recommend. It probably can read as a standalone because I think it is more a spin off then an actual 5th book in a series... however I would recommend reading the first books if you haven't already because, well... they are awesome!

True Connection - Rachel Walter True Connection... Where do I even begin? I was excited for this book as soon a it was brought to my attention. It's a new adult book which like most readers are totally loving at the moment. However what really got my attention was the supernatural aspect of the book. It's been a while since I have read a book that has anything to do with the supernatural world... This is mainly due to the fact that most New Adult books are contemporary romance... I am so not complaining! I love a good romance, but lately I feel like I have been in a bit of a slump. True Connection had totally save me from my reading slump and reminded me of why I love books with just a little bit more then a good romance. Right off the bat I loved the relationship between Jazzy and Henry. They are super close, best friends, but considering what they have gone through I'm glad they had each other. Then there is Seth... Seth is the super hot guy that a lot of people think is a little weird, but for some reason Jazzy is inexplicable drawn to him. Their replay kinship although definitely not easy is super cute to follow and I loved learning about Seth's history, and what exactly is going on. But to be honest, Skeeter was my favourite character in the book... She was just so genuinely nice. When Jazzy first meets her, she came across as kinda mean girlish... But I quickly got over that feeling. Oh and Skeeter an Henry?! Yea I totally need that story ASAP! Of course a book that involves supernatural beings can't be complete without the bad guys... Enter Derik, he is the star quarterback at Jazzy and Henry's new school and he is a complete douche! He thinks he I gods gift to the female population and everyone should be honoured to even have him speak to you, let alone *gasp* ask you to sit at his lunch table! But Jazzy was having none of you *you go girl!* she totally put Derik in his place in a very funny way! Little did she know what she was brining onto herself though. True Connection had so many great characters and I wanted to know more about all of them... I got little bits here and there about Henry and Barry, but I need more! This is definitely a book I will recommend to anyone who lives a good supernatural book. It is also yet another author I will be putting on my 'Must read new books now' list (god that list is getting long!)
A Matter of Heart - Heather Lyons This series is turning out to be a favorite of mine, A Matter of Heart is the second book in the series and it picks up not too long after the first book ended. Chloe is now on the council but is still pretty much clueless about the world of magicals, she chose Jonas and is not living happily next door to him… and life haws been moving on, sorta… I think what I like most about this book is that the idea behind the story is pretty original, and the way the author is able to write the story you cant help but feel for each and every character. I am honestly kinda on the fence about Chloe; she is selfish, whiny, and well a little annoying honestly. Yes she had a crappy upbringing and her parents are idiots but still… she should have realized by now that if she wants to know anything she has to figure it out herself. She is to dependant on everyone around her. I also know that she is in a really hard situation with both Kellan and Jonas, and maybe I am bias (TEAM KELLAN) but she is really not being fair to either one of them… she is stringing them both along. I was honestly expecting her to take off by herself and leave both guys from like a quarter through the book because that just seemed like what she has to do to not only figure herself out, but also to let them go until she decides who and if she wants them. Jonas actually REALLY surprised me in this book, I thought he was the level headed brother who could do no wrong… but man oh man does that boy have a temper. He was also not always sucha nice guy which disappointed me a little, because although I will never turn on Kellan, I liked knowing the Jonas was steady, reliable and just plain nice. *Sigh* Kellan… he broke my heart little by little in this book. He keeps trying to do the right thing, and he literally takes it to the extreme with all of his distractions and ‘hobbies’, but no matter how much he tries he just cant stay away from Chloe. It is always kinda bittersweet when they are together; I personally think they TOTALLY belong to each other. Oh! Callie! I was so prepared to hate her because well she wasn’t very nice in the first book in the brief glimpse we got of her… but boy oh boy she is AWESOME! She is outspoken, fun, spontaneous, and loyal… she is the perfect person for Chloe to be friends with. Regardless of how they met and what stands between them. My only main issues with this book were that sometimes with Chloe’s whining… it was really drawn out and sometimes totally unnecessary, yes she is confused… get over it… yes she loves both brothers… get over it… yes her parents suck… get over it… yes she is the target of the crazy elders… get over it… I hope that she finally grows up a bit for the third book, I am so ready to love Chloe, but she makes it really really card. That ending… I getting trying to get to the next page, I thought there was something wrong with my copy of the book… because I mean seriously it could NOT end like that! That was mean, I hate cliffhangers to begin with, but that is the biggest cliffhanger I have read in such a long time. I have such high hopes for the third book, and I want it right now!
Playing For Keeps (The Game, #2) - Emma Hart So I love basically anything that Emma comes out with… she is honestly just such a fantastic writer and her books always impress me. That being said, the Game Series is turning out to be one of my favorites (Sorry Bing and Alec) I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series, The Love Game, and I didn’t think anything else could top that book… boy was I wrong. Playing For Keeps was even BETTER! In The Love Game, although the story was about Maddie and Braden, you caught glimpse of Megan and Aston… enough to know that they totally should be together and deserved their own story. So that is where Playing For Keeps comes in… First of all I loved Megan, not only because she has the coolest name ever, but because she was just so real. She is honestly the type of character that you wish was real because you want to be friends with her. Then there is Aston, he is cocky, arrogant, gorgeous and emotionally unavailable. Until Megan… suddenly all the harmless flirting Aston and Megan have always done takes on a whole different meaning. I think that Megan and Aston are quite honestly the cutest couple ever… and when they are together you can’t help but love them both. They are so different from each other, yet perfectly compliment each other. If you are looking for a fun, witty, contemporary New Adult book… This is definitely the book to pick! I would recommend reading The Love Game first just to get to know all the characters better… and because it is totally a series you don’t want to miss!
One Tiny Lie - K.A. Tucker So if you haven’t read Ten Tiny Breaths yet (book one in the series) you honestly do not understand the greatness that you are missing. This book will seriously have you laughing out loud, yelling at the book because you are so mad, and crying you damn eyes out because HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN! Honestly, this book will put you through the ringer, just like Ten Tiny Breaths did… I didn’t think any other books in this series could be better then the first one; within the first 2 chapters my opinion was already changed. Livie is still the naïve little girl that we previously met, she’s just a little older now is all. I was really happy though that we actually get to see a few years down the road from Ten Tiny Breaths because we really get to see how much Livie has grown from a girl into a women… and don’t worry Kacey makes appearances in the book too! Ashton, oh man he was like the hottest, sweetest, most infuriating man ever! I went from totally loving him, to literally yelling at the book because he was so STUPID! But in the end… well I love me some HEA ;) If you are loving the New Adult books like I am, then don’t even hesitate… go get this book NOW!
April Showers (April, #1) - Karli Perrin So WHAT is with all these amazing authors coming outta the UK lately? Or am I just really slow to take notice of them? If that's the case I am SO sorry!!!Anyways! This book was so awesome! Not only is the cover super amazing (I admit I'm a bit of a cover whore) but just by reading the description of the book you cant help but be interested in it! and let me tell you it does NOT disappoint!I really liked April, she is a very quirky character just looking for a fresh start. On her first day of school she literally falls at the feet of the most gorgeous man she has ever seen... I was right away VERY interested in this mysterious guy and I was a little disappointed that I had to wait so long (OK maybe only like 2 or 3 chapters if even) to find out more about him.But I was pacified when we met Lukas, he wasn't my absolute favorite, he just seemed WAY to perfect for our quirky and slightly dorky April... but he was hot and he was a sweetie... even if I did spend like the WHOLE book waiting for the other shoe to drop on him and prove that he isnt as perfect as he seems. When we finally get to know more about or mysterious man... who btw is Isaac... I was immediately in love, even if he was a bit of a dick about the whole situation, you just cant help but love him! I think what I loved most about Isaac is that he doesn't even try to come across as perfect, even though he totally is in my eyes, he isn't exactly broken like some characters in other books... but he isn't really whole either. We also meet Aprils best friend who I absolutely LOVED! I really want to know her story, because it is SO obvious she has one... hint hint... maybe a prequel Karli? anyways, Katie is basically a blonde bombshell who is flirty and outspoken and TOTALLY loyal to April. We really only get a brief introduction to her but she is quite obviously an integral part in April's life so I was a little let down that we only learned bits an pieces about her.However... back to the good stuff eh? April and Isaac, honestly such a hot couple! They definitely had chemistry, and although they fought it basically the whole book, it was totally inevitable that they get together. I also wont lie, I was a little bit happy that Lukas turned out to be an asshat as well and finally showed his true not perfect colors! But the main thing was that ending! I mean seriously? I went through so many emotions! At first I thought it was a joke and there was more... then when I realized it was actually the ending I started tweeted to Karli like crazy and I may have said that I hate her a few dozen times (OK so I am totally exaggerating but I was in shock but still!) and then I wanted to throw my phone across the room because I couldn't BELIEVE that it would end that way! Oh and then I basically sat there in shock trying to absorb what just happened... and I STILL haven't fully absorbed it!If you get into the same situation as I was in when you finish this book, trust me tossing your reading device into the wall really wont make the book longer... and DON'T WORRY! There is another book coming out! Hopefully by the end of the year... but I totally wouldn't object to it coming out like RIGHT NOW!
To My Hero: A Blog of Our Journey Together - Danielle Sibarium I love Danielle! She is one of the first authors I met when I started blogging at Paperbook Princess, and I absolutely fell in love with her Heart Waves Series, and I plan on reading For Always as soon as I figure out how to get more hours in a day! So when Danielle started talking about To My Hero on Twitter, I immediately needed all the details! I received this book for review from Danielle, and started reading it within a few days (as I said before there is not enough hours in the day!) This book really puts you through the ringer… it is sad, funny, heartbreaking, romantic, god it is so many things I cant even think of anymore words! I think what I am enjoying most about a lot of books that I have been reading lately is that they deal with a tough subject… this one being no different as it deals with rape. I think it is fantastic that authors are finally able to write stories about rape and abuse and well just about anything, yet they do it with so much class that they are not making fun of the subject… rather they are bringing attention to it so that its not such a novelty or unspoken thing anymore as it has always been in the past. In To My Hero, we meet Carly and Ryan. Right off the bat I totally loved Ryan and although at the beginning he was portrayed as this tough bad boy type guy… he really wasn’t. He was actually the sweetest character I have read from any of Danielle’s books. Carly… well… to be honest I didn’t really like her. Yes what happened to her was horrible and she was obviously in crazy denial about what happened. But regardless of that I just didn’t like her. Maybe if I hada met her under different circumstances it woulda been a lot different, but I guess that’s the fun of a book right? I think what I didn’t like about Carly the most was the fact that it always seemed like she was just stringing Ryan along… a guy who obviously understood what happened and was doing everything he possibly could to help her… she was ugh I don’t even know, indifferent I guess about everything (which again may have been a product of what happened to her)Overall, regardless of my feelings for Carly, I really enjoyed this book and I even though the title of the book is To My Hero: A Blog of Our Journey Together, I was still shocked when at the end I realized that the whole thing was a blog post… it made everything throughout the book make so much more sense and just wrapped the whole thing up perfectly! Thanks Danielle for another awesome book!
