The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (The Coincidence, #1) - Jessica Sorensen I don't even know where to start with this book! It was sweet, and sad, and hit on some SUPER tough topics that should be talked about so much more then they are in our society. Its about love, loss, fear, moving on, and gosh just so much!Callie is such a good character, I loved seeing her grow and start to move on form her tragic past. She is honestly so much stronger then she thinks she is. My heart totally went out to her she went through so much, I don't know what I would have done if I had of been in her shoes, its sad to think about all the girls that actually do have to go through this. Then there is Kayden, he seems like he has it all together, when in reality he is just as broken as Callie. Kayden just deals with his issues in a much different way. Kayden comes across as an All-American football player, he seems to have the world at his fingertips... he is also super hot, which helps him hide all the pain behind the 'Jock Veneer'Together Callie and Kayden discover something they never thought they would find, something they never thought they actually deserved. The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden will pull at your heartstrings at every corner, from Callie and Kayden's past... to there sweet romance together... to their best friends who are just as screwed up, but the four of them together make an unlikely but great group of friends who are there when they need each other no questions asked.
Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1) - Abbi Glines So this is a book that I honestly cant stop thinking about and recommending to others! This book is the reason I am so obsessed with the New Adult books right now! I really liked Blair, she had been through a heartbreaking situation that I honestly cant even imagine, and the only place she has left to go is that last place she wants to go… but she has no choice so she puts her big girl panties on and does it. That’s how we meet Rush… now he is omg amazing… like I sereisouly dreamed about him when I finished this book! He is also rich, arrogant and well a major asshole. But that’s really just a front that he puts out to protect himself… and when he meets Blair he really needs to throw up that wall, at least for as long as he can before she tears it down. This book had my emotions all over the place, I don’t know if its because I my hormones were out of whack or what but I can honestly say the end of the book? DESTROYED ME! I cried my eyes out for the last 2 chapters because it was literally breaking my heart! I am SO excited for Never Too Far to come out and I will be getting it as soon as possible and dropping whatever else I have going because I HAVE to know whats going to happen! I have an idea of what may happen… but maybe its just what I WANT to happen… hmmm, hopefully we will be hearing the sound of little feet running around in soon…
A Matter of Fate - Heather Lyons Oh man this book was so good! I was hooked right from the get go, it was honestly so hard to even put this book down to go to sleep! First we have Chloe, who by the way is totally awesome! She is a magical, basically the fate of everything essentially lies in her hands… yea that’s a lot of pressure for a teenage girl! But even though she doesn’t want the responsibility, she finally is able to come to terms with it because well she has no choice. Then we meet Jonah… and KELLAN! Ok, so they are twins and they are both super hot and sweet… but they are like total oppisites! Jonah is more quiet and reserved and he has loved Chloe for basically his whole life. Kellan is arrogant and has a short temper, and he falls in love with Chloe the moment he meets her. *sigh* I love a good love triangle, and this one is so fantastic! But the best part about this book? It has SO much more going on then just the love triangle! All the twists and turns this book took? I was totally not expecting, and its why I just had to keep reading! I am so looking forward to the next book in this series because I am still rooting for Kellan even though I do have a soft spot for Jonah… Kellan is the one that Chloe should be with!
Unmaking Hunter Kennedy - Anne Eliot I really loved this book! It just had so much going on that worked so perfectly together! When the book first started, I felt a little sad for Hunter I mean, his mom treated him like she didn’t care about him at all... as if she was just trying to get him out of her hair because he was too wild and reckless to handle. I LOVED Hunter/Dustin… he was just so down to earth! And yes I know he was recently in rehab, but he was sent to this small town and forced on these strangers and he just took it. He knew he had screwed up so he was taking his lumps like a man. And it showed real maturity for him to do that. Also he was super sweet to Vere, even though they were just friends. I also totally loved Vere, she was just so REAL… and although I was totally not a fan of Curtis (I was ALWAYS rooting for Hunter/Dustin) It was still cute to see her working through her shyness around boys. I also really liked Charlie for most of the book, it was always quite obvious that he loved Vere very much, but really? What was he thinking trying to set her up with Curtis? I mean sure she loved him off but Charlie musta known that Curtis was a douche! So I totally had my ups and downs with regards to Charlie, but by the end of the book I was over it and loved him again. I would totally like to read a book about Charlie and Jenna, I think they totally belong together but there will totally be A LOT of bumps in the road that I want to be there for! Overall this was a very sweet romance, it had a bit of an edge because of Hunter’s circumstance, but overall a very cute story!
Breaking Waves - Danielle Sibarium I had really mixed emotions about this book until about half way through… which is when I decided that the book was super awesome! For the first half of the book, the only thing that kept me going was Tyler… oh BOY do I LOVE him! He is moody but sweet… mean but nice… the only bad thing is he has serious issues! But he’s hot so I can overlook that issue part. But even he was almost not enough a few times. Jenna was just so… blah! Poor Poor Jenna… ugh I HATED her! I understand she was grieving and processing a terrible tragedy… but well… I really really hate girls that think they NEED a man to complete them. Yes Reece was gone, I’m sorry Jenna really I am, but its time to put on your big girl panties and move on! So, now that I got my little Jenna rant out of the way back to what else I thought about the book… The author Danielle Sibarium is really such an awesome writer, even when I hated Jenna, I still wanted to know what was going on. I also love how she is able to pull in little bits of supernatural elements into her story without it completely taking over. By the end of the book, I was back to liking Jenna again (maybe she heard me ranting at her throughout the rest of the book) but she finally came to a few decisions that I thought she shoulda or coulda made way before she actually did. I am a little nervous about the next book in the series, because I have a few ideas of what might happen, and I really don’t know how that will effect Jenna and Tyler as friends but as well as more then friends… and well, I really think that Tyler is the best one for Jenna and I think that Jenna is really good for him too (not that I am biased or anything) Overall this was a really good sequel to Heart Waves which I had to oppoutunity to read last summer and I am glad that we were able to shove Reece outta the picture and get more of Tyler! I will be looking forward to the next book in this series because I really need to know what happens!
Incendiary (The Premonition, #4) - Amy A. Bartol I LOVE this series, I just wanted to get that out there right away! There is absolutely nothing that I don’t like about The Premonition Series, and this book totally solidified that for me. Now, I have been totally #TeamRussell throughout the whole series up to this point… but I must say Xavier has me totally rethinking things. I don’t even really want Russell to end up with Evie, I actually kinda totally love Anya now and she is more then perfect for my Russell, but Xavier? Oh boy! I LOVE him! Possibly even more then I love Russell (sorry Russ!) and so I am putting my money behind Xavier to get rid of Reed ;) With these books, there seems to always be one more person or obstacle that gets in between Reed and Evie, and well I’m sorry but maybe they should just get the hint? Besides, with the way everyone has Asipires showing up I am actually kinda expecting one to show up and claim Reed, I don’t know HOW exactly that can happen because well he would obviously know if he had an Aspire before Evie… but well Amy is so awesome, I am sure she could figure out a way! Oh and by the way, no offense but I am so OVER Brennus… I was never a big fan, but now? He is just your typical enemy who has an unhealthy obsession with Evie, and well yea, I think all them angels need to hurry up and get rid of him already… at least give us a new bad guy to love to hate.
The Vincent Boys - Abbi Glines I loved this book! I had heard so much about it from all of my Twitter friends so when I was in Chapters and saw The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers I HAD to get them! I will admit however that I was a little surprised because I was under the impression that they were much steamier then it actually was. It was also a very fine line between a YA book and an NA book, mainly because of the age of the characters… there were seniors in Highschool. However, neither of those things kept me from reading the book and enjoying every second of it! Ash and Boone’s romance was kinda Romeo and Juliet, although totally not a tragic… they both obviously wanted to be together but neither of them wanted to hurt the one person that would essentially be hurt the most… Sawyer. It was a little annoying how ‘perfect’ Ash tried to be, so when she started hanging out with Boone and breaking the ‘perfect laws’ I was so happy to see that side of her. Boone brought out the best in Ash, even if everyone only saw it as the worst in her. I was totally sad though at the end when the whole thing went down, I felt sorry for Sawyer because he was understandably hurt, but I also felt really bad for Boone and Sawyer because of the curve ball that was essentially thrown at them as well. Overall… GO READ THIS BOOK! It was a really good read, a little steamier then a typical YA book, but by no means is it way to much for most readers and what sexy scenes were in it were all very clean and fun at the same time.
The Vincent Brothers - Abbi Glines *sigh* this book…. first I have a question… why aren't boys like this in real life? I mean don't get me wrong I love my husband and he is the love of my life and I wouldn't trade him for anyone… but still… the Vincent brothers? they knock my socks off! In the first book we got to meet Lana, but in this book, we meet a totally new Lana! I was a little sad that essentially she made all the changes that she did for a boy, but really? Hasn't everyone made changes to the way they look for some guy? Plus in the end it also made her more confident in herself sooo I forgive her for making the changes for a guy! Then there is Sawyer, poor heartbroken Sawyer. We didn't get to see much of him in the first book because well… that was Ash and Boones story, but in this book we get ALL of him ;) This book was definitely a little steamier then the first one which was ok with me, but it was still a sweet steamy (does that make sense) This series, and this book especially, really remind me of coming of age type book because all the characters are well becoming adults and they are having to deal with a lot of different issues that everyone faces in there late teens. I think the thing I loved most about Lana, is she wanted something, and she went after it. She there were plenty of times she fell down or got hurt… and at the end I was a little worried she would never get up again and give love another shot. But Sawyer is just so sweet (even when he is being an ass) that he wouldn't let her give up, even when he was as clueless as any boy about what he stood to lose. I also really liked how in the first book we get the impression that Sawyer is this perfect little goody two shoes… but in this book, probably because of his recent breakup… he had more of an edge, which made him much more interesting. Overall, this book was as fantastic as the first one and I couldn't put it down… The only thing I would change even slightly about both of these books is the fact that both Ash and Lana seem way to dependent on their guy… I would have preferred to see a stronger female character, but then that would have completely changed the story… hmmm its probably a good thing I am not an author.

The Perfect Hope (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy #3)

The Perfect Hope (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy #3) - Nora Roberts So Nora Roberts is my all time FAVORITE author, if she's written it, I’ve read it! I just wish she had more new books come out instead of reprints! This is the third and final book for the Inn Booneboro Trilogy and it was everything I was hoping for! It is a sweet romance, with just enough punch in it to keep you interested throughout the whole book. I have LOVED Hope since the very first book, she may come across as a little snooty and stuck up… but she was done wrong by a man (of course) and so she is just trying to make the best of everything, which to Hope meant completely uprooting her life and moving to Boonsboro. Then there is Ryder, of all 3 brothers he was always my favourite, and right from the first book I was so excited to read his story especially when I realized he was going to be paired with Hope. Nora Robert is an outstanding author, her ability to create such perfect and sweet romances is phenomenal, and to do it while making the readers fall in love with her characters? Is there any reason why she is my favourite author? Didn't think so… I think the absolute best part for me in this book was when Hope stood up for herself against the slimy ex bf. It was heartbreaking knowing the pain she was trying to hide behind a false bravado, but she did so with class and I was left with no doubt that he got the point… plus there was no way that slimy ex bf could stand a chance when compared to Ryder! Overall, if you are looking for a simple romance this is definitely a series that you should check out. As with all of her books, they are not exactly mind twisters, but they are simple sweet romances and really? Who doesn't enjoy one of those types of books from time to time?
Down to You - M. Leighton I decided to read this book because I have seen so many people talking about it on Twitter, and Chele from Supagurl recommended it to me and well she is kinda awesome and so far I have loved everything that I have read that she has recommend. I thought this book was pretty good, and throughout the whole book I spent so much time laughing because of all the innuendoes that were being thrown around. and twin hotties? Cash and Nash were driving me nuts with their hotness! I was a little confused during a few parts because of the twins… It totally all made sense in the end though, and although Cash’s intentions were good I think what started out as a way to help the situation years ago royally screwed up his entire life. But he was just so hot, and even though he was a ‘bad boy’ he was so sweet and nice most the time that I can’t believe I didn’t see the connection sooner! I also totally loved Olivia, she was such a fun character to read! She ALWAYS had a witty comeback, and although the author made it sound like she was a shy person, I never really saw that from her. She also came across as way older then her years, she didn't ever really seem like a regular college student in her early 20s, but maybe that had more to do with her past and how she was raised… but I honestly forgot that she was a college student most the time. Overall, this book was fantastic, it had the romance, it also brought it up more then a few notches on the sexiness scale, and it was just so fun and entertaining to read! As soon as I finished reading it I got the second book in the series Up To You, and although I haven't had a chance to read it yet I am so looking forward to it!
A Song for Julia - Charles Sheehan-Miles Wow… just WOW! This may be the best romance book I have read in a long time. Now, I am not going to lie I am a big suck and I cry quite often while reading my books regardless… but this book? I think I spent at least half the book crying my eyes out! So why is this a good thing? Well because the story was just so sweet, and romantic and heartbreaking and it was just everything a romance novel should be. Julia, she was just broken right from the word GO, and regardless of how hard she tried to be ‘Perfect’ or how far she pushed people away, there was no way that she could fix herself especially after hearing her story *sob* Then there is Crank, he may be the sweetest guy on earth, he wasn't exactly a ‘Bad Boy’ although I think he tried to be one, he was more a very hot guy who the women loved… a lot… Their story is heart wrenching but also just a perfect tale of two people falling in love. I really liked how the author was able to touch on some pretty sensitive subjects in the book as well, such as The War on Iraq, and September 11. Now I am a Canadian and I will never forget those two events so I can only imagine how much it affected everyone that it hit more directly. This book also touches on Suicide, Bullying, and Aspergers… all of which are currently getting more exposure in our society. If you are looking for a sweet romance to read before bed, or you just want to read something that can let you have a good cry (because honestly, don't we all need a good cry once in a while?) then you have to check this book out! I was totally impressed with every aspect of it and I will definitely be reading other books in the Thompson Sisters series.
Treason - S.M. Boyce This book was so good! I read this over the holidays so it took me a little longer then I would have liked because well… family and stuff you know? But I finally was able to sit down and devout some time to it on New Years day and well I was so happy I finally got the chance to read it uninterrupted. The last book was good, but it left me wanting a little bit more. Maybe it was because I am used to more of a ‘romantic’ edge to my books, so I was really excited about where I thought this book might take me. And I was not dissapointed! I finally got my romance between Kara and Breaden (I LOVE Breaden!) but I also got some heartache because of them as well… but really what is a good romance without a little heartbreak? I also decided that I absolutely LOVE Kara, she is finally strong! she doesn't hide behind anyone and doesn't expect Beaden to fight her battles or win her war for her. She learns as much as she can whenever she can. She is finally EMBRACING the fact that she is a Vegabond!I also decided that I really like Twin, she isn't in this book very much but I have high hopes for her in the next book. She is a very loyal friend to Kara and I was very happy that she will be sticking beside Kara instead of turning her back on her. In the first book Twin came across as kind of inconsequential and I really didn't expect to see much more of her, but then in this book she started taking a larger role and although she is still very much in the background… I think she will be very important in the books to come! If you like fantasy but are like me and like that little edge of romance you should totally pick this series up. Trust me the first book may not have much romance but the little there is leaves you wanting more and Boyce definitely delivers in Treason!
Someone to Love - Addison Moore So I signed up for this book because I am so in LOVE with the New Adult books right now! So expect to see a few more in the near future as well :)So onto the book… it was FANTASTIC! It is sexy, witty, romantic ahh I cant even think of enough words to describe it!While reading this book, there were so many one liners that I just couldn't stop myself from laughing over! Oh and all the little sexual innuendos lol TOO FUNNY!I Loved Cruise right from the start, even though he was a a typical guy that thought a lot more about the next notch on his bed post then he did about a meaningful relationship… that was ok because well… he was HOT!But then in walks Kendall, or Kenny as she soon becomes… she may have been totally naive but it was just so sweet and innocent and funny because although she didn't have experience with the opposite sex, she could talk a real good game and she honestly made the book so friggin entertaining! When you start this book, make sure you have some time to just sit and read it because trust me… you wont want to stop reading it!This book totally delivers on the romance level, and because it is New Adult it totally makes me feel my age which was super awesome (I love my YA but, well I’m not exactly a teenager anymore so its good to be able to mix it up a bit)If you are into the new adult books and want a book that can deliver on every aspect from sex to romance you HAVE to check this book out ASAP! It is such a cute story love, romance, broken hearts, bitter ex girlfriends, and so much MORE!Thanks Addison for delivering such an awesome book, you just solidified my love of the New Adult books :)*copy of book provided by SupaGurl Tours*
Blood Twist (Erris Coven, # 2) - Bonnie Erina Wheeler So I really liked the first book in this series, Fate Fixed. It is a totally different take on Vampires and Soul mates. So I had a really good idea of what to expect when I started reading Blood twist… and I was so not disappointed! This is Liz and Braden’s story, and although I was a little disappointed that I have to wait to hear Teagan’s Story (ok so maybe I play favorites) I was still excited to here Braden’s story because in Fate Fixed he always seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder, so I couldn’t wait to find out what it was! So back to Braden and Liz! Liz was amazing, she is one of my favorite characters in a long time… she definitely has daddy issues, but she ahs learned to deal with them. She thinks all boys are not to be trusted (don’t we all think that at some point in our life) and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She is also fiercely loyal to those she does love and will fight for what she wants! Now because this is a romance, I knew Braden and Liz who end up together, but the way the author was able to make that happen was fantastic. Like in Fate Fixed they had to battle evil, and although I was able to kind of figure it out before the actual bad guy was revealed, I was left thinking about it many many times, flipping between a few different characters. There were also a few times I thought maybe they wouldn’t get together, because well I really liked Riley, Braden’s Dragaur brother and I almost wanted Liz to end up with him… but I am so glad she didn’t in the end (although that it another person I am super hoping to hear a story about!) The only thing I didn’t like about this book? The end! Ahh I HATE cliffhangers, and the fact that it involved the witchy little sister just made me so mad… why couldn’t I be left thinking about Teagan? This is definitely a series I will be watching for (the next book is due out spring 2013), it is just so refreshing to read a book about vampires that is so unique and different from a lot of other stories that are out there right now, so thank you Bonnie for creating such a fascinating story that drags me in a doesn’t let go! Now can I have more Teagan? Please!?
Fate Fixed - Bonnie Erina Wheeler When Lexie Anderson’s mother suddenly announces she is marrying a Romanian immigrant, Lexie willingly leaves behind her busy life in Connecticut for her penance in “The Moose Capital of the World.” Small town living is strange enough, now Lexie must cope with her overbearing stepfamily monitoring her every move. They disappear into the woods at night and keep a strange secret locked in their shed. Her once calm mother is now having violent outbursts and Lexie’s little sister is hearing sinister sounds coming from the forest behind their new home. Lexie’s biggest surprise comes when she discovers the boy she has been dreaming about since her accident is living in Maine. Despite Torin’s questionable reputation, Lexie cannot resist the physical and emotional attraction pulsating between them. Animals and people in town are turning up dead and Lexie learns the strange new world she lives in has real life monsters. Just when she decides she wants to be with Torin forever, she must fight to protect her mother and sister from being harmed by a formidable evil. This book was pretty amazing! I have had this book sitting on my kindle for a few months while I waited for the blog tour date to get closer… and like most books I put off I totally regret waiting! This is a vampire book, but not your typical vampire book! I think that the thing I loved most about this book is it focused a lot on the history of how the Erris Coven came to be, because although there are slight differences… a vampire is basically a vampire. We also got to see the authors version of a werewolf, which again was pretty cool… they were definitely a lot different then Jacob and his pack of wolves that I am use to! I loved Lexie, she has been though a lot recently, but she only wants to make her mom happy so she doesn’t even fight when her mom says they are moving away from the city she has grown up in. Lexie also has to deal with her little sister who honestly always came across as a hormonal angry at the world 13 year girl. Then there are the boys… wow I don’t even know where to start I think I love all of them! But since this book focuses on Torin… lets stick with him shall we? Torin is just perfect… he is a little bit of a bad boy with a bit of an edge, but Lexie manages to tame him (as much as guy like Torin can be tamed) but I think what I loved the most about Torin was that he seemed so loving, not just about Lexie… but about his whole family. There were a few parts in the book when he spoke about his mother and the author was able to truly capture what the bond was between them. The other thing about this book that I absolutely loved is I never actually knew who the bad guy was… I kept bouncing back and forth between 3 characters and in the end… I was so totally OFF! I love when a book keeps me guessing!I think the only thing I didn’t like about this book was that I didn’t get to know Torin’s cousins as much as I would have liked! I am assuming that the author will do a book for each of them… and well I can’t WAIT! I think my favorite story will be Teagan’s though, just because he seems to be the Erris Coven Playboy and they always have fantastic stories to tell ;)
Witchblood - Emma Mills So you know those books that take a few chapters to really get into the story? You get a lot of information that at the time just feels quite useless until it all comes together and makes total sense? Yea well this book? Totally not like that! Witchblood doesn’t give you information until you need it! In the first chapter our main character? OMG she DIES! Like seriously? When I read that I literally sat there staring at my iPad wordlessly for a few seconds… but then it clicked in what really happened because well it is a vampire book! First off we meet Jess who is a normal collage girl who finally got the boyfriend of her dreams, I think the only problem I had with this is well it seems like she had only been dating Luke for a little while yet she switched her collage to go to the same one as him, and she was hopelessly in love with him. But I think she learned her lesson later on in the book! Then there is Daniel… I loved him right off, he is super mysterious and has a lot of secrets and although he can seem to be evil sometimes I actually wonder if that is just a product of being a vampire… vampires always seem to have that edge to them you know?I loved how this book was just a little bit different then most vampire books because it also involves witches and angels, but in a way that really connects them all together.. namely the fact that Jess is half witch.. although she didn’t know it! So essentially she is half witch and half vampire… therefore able to keep a lot of her human like qualities.. such as emotions, and well craving food and not blood! Overall this was a great book, and I can’t wait to dive into the second book! I have so many unanswered questions and so many thoughts going on inside my head about what might happen! *Special thanks to the author Emma Mills for providing copies of Witchblood for review*
